The 2014-15 North Shore Vikings will have the biggest team they ever had, they also return four starters from last year. They have a tough non league schedule playing teams such as: Oyster Bay, Moore Catholic, OLMA, Massapequa, Cicero-North Syracuse, Commack and East Orange Campus.

Pre-Season #11 Copiague Eagles

Projected Starters:
Ihnacinse Grady, Senior 4 year starter GS # 15
Mikaiya Moore, Junior 3 year starter
Mykal Knight, Senior 3 year Varsity
Ashley Harris, Senior 3 year Varsity
Anna Zaborowska Sophomore 2 year starter

Projected Bench Players:
Emilyae Ward, Freshman

Ny’Lasia Bunn, Junior
Alicja Zaborowska, Sophomore

Last year Copiague (10-7 overall and 9-3 AA-3 league) were battle tested against teams like St. Anthony’s, Sachem East and North Babylon, which showed the talent this team has available this upcoming season. This year the Lady Eagles have a deep and talented group that can hurt you in a number of ways.  Mikaiya Moore has a tough inside/outside game, they have Inhacinse Grady a super-quick and savvy point guard, guards Anna Zaborowska and Mikal Knight also will be contributors. Ashley Harris will provide rebounding and a big defensive presence in the paint. While these girls are the projected starters, Copiague has the luxury of multiple wildcards that will allow them to adapt to the teams that they compete against. Freshman guard Emilyae Ward carries experiences that many players her age have yet to see. No matter what line up presented, there will be one factor that is the same….speed! Look for the Lady Eagles to test the will and stamina of the opposing teams they face.

Pre-Season #12 Wantagh Warriors

Projected Starters:
Alex Parlato, 6-3 Senior 4 year starter
Christina Peden, Senior 3 year starter
Nikki Silwak, Junior 2 year starter
Kiernan Rathgaber, Senior 1 year starter
Darice Smith, Junior 2nd year on varsity

Projected Bench Players:
Darice Smith, Junior
Lauran Mallon, Senior
Kristina Perez, Junior
Courtney Gendels, Junior
Cheyenne Johnson, Freshmen
Alana Aro, Junior

The Warriors were 17-2 last year and return four starters from last year's Conference A-1 Champs.  The key to their success relies heavily on Fordham Rams commit Alex Parlato (Gold Star Ranked #8 in the senior class who is a four year starter. To complement Alex are three returning starters in Christine Peden, Nikki Silwalk and Kiernan Rathgaber who all are instrumental in the success of the Warriors this season.  Wantagh was upset last year in the Nassau A quarter finals by Seaford 44-42.  The Warriors have the experience and are gearing up to make a strong run at the Nassau County A Championship.
