Chastity Taylor Chooses the Blue Hens

Chastity Taylor a junior at St. Anthony’s High School has made her decision to play college basketball at University of Delaware.

Q. What schools were recruiting you?

A. “Hofstra, St. Joe's, Bucknell, Louisville, NC State, St. John's, Providence, Mount St. Mary's, Central Connecticut State, Fordham, Seton Hall, LaSalle, Towson, and more just hard to remember.”

Q. What schools offered you a scholarship?

A. "I had offers from
Fairleigh Dickinson University, Central Connecticut State University, Marshall University, Temple University, University of Delaware, University of Cincinnati and Virginia Tech.

Q. Did you visit the school?

A. "Yes."

Q. What did you like about the school?

A. "I liked the size of the campus and how involved everyone on campus was in the women's basketball program.  I also liked the coaches and the players on the team they were nice.  It's a good academic school and I will have great job opportunities when I graduate.”

Q. Why did you decide to end the recruiting process?

A. “The recruiting process is a lot of work.  I didn't want to end it too soon and I also wanted to make sure I wouldn't regret my decision. I decided to end it because Delaware had everything I was looking for in a school.”

Q. Any last comments ou would like to add?

A. “I’m excited to go there and play with such a successful team.  I am also glad that I get to continue playing with Makeda for another 4 years. I think it is going to be a fun experience.”
