Belvedere Decides on the Hawks
Q. What schools were recruiting
A. University of Delaware, Hartford, Navy,
Binghamton, Bucknell, Cornell, Manhattan, Davidson, University of
Northern Florida, Boston University, Brown, Lehigh and others
Q. What schools offered you a scholarship?
A. St. Joseph's University.
Did you visit the school?
A. Yes. I visited the school this past
January and most recently last week.
Q. What did you like about the school?
A. I liked the school because it will allow
me to study occupational therapy, be part of a great basketball program,
and play with coaches I admire and respect. I also liked the fact that
the campus was far enough from the city where it wasn't a city campus
but close enough where I can enjoy the city of Philadelphia.
Q. Why did you decide to end the recruiting process?
A. I decided to end the recruiting process
because St. Joe's was a perfect fit for me. It offered me everything
that I was looking for in a school. Now all the stress is over and I can
look forward to being a Hawk.
Q. Any last comments you would like to add?
A. I would like to thank my mother, father
and brother for pushing me to become a better person and athlete. My
mother has helped me through this whole process. The amount of time she
spends driving me to weight training and individual lessons is
tremendous and I am very grateful. I would also like to thank Ken Parham
(my Riverside Hawks AAU coach)
he has been a major influence to me in this recruiting process. A big
thanks goes to my family at Kellenberg Memorial High School. I don't
know what I would do without John Heitner, Matt Kirk, Cathy Von, Angela
Watson and Kasey Agostinacchio. They have made a big impact on who I am
today. In addition, Jay Hernandez of Pro Hoops, who has pushed me to be
a better athlete and has taught me many things on the court. He has
improved my game tremendously. I cant wait to have a great AAU season
with my team and then finally become a real Hawk.
